US rock star Matthew Followill is planning to bring his fishing reels and rods with him next time he comes to UK.
This is according to the Kings of Leon star’s girlfriend Johanna Bennett, who told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph the guitarist is a keen fly fisherman.
She explained that although the band have enjoyed huge success around the world with hits such as Sex on Fire, Followill shuns the limelight and enjoys life’s simple pleasures.
And Bennett revealed that the rocker is looking forward to bringing his fishing reels to the Fens.
"He loves to fly fish and he wants to come and fish in Peterborough when he has time," she said.
Followill is not the only musician known to enjoy packing up the fishing reels and rods for a day of angling.
Last month, the Sun reported that N-Dubz singer Dappy – real name Costas Dinos Contostavlos – regularly goes fishing in the rivers of Surrey.
